The Arctic wolf is also known as the white wolf or polar wolf and is a subspecies of the gray wolf. It spends its entire life north of the tree line in the high-Arctic tundra on Queen Elizabeth Island, Canada. It is a medium-sized subspecies and interestingly, their skulls are probably reduced by crossing with wolfdogs (domestic dog + grey wolf). They hunt mainly musk oxen and polar bears. hare.
